Is there a Link between your Acne and your Diet?

Why you can’t sell a healthy diet
Ask any doctor if there is a relationship between diet and acne, and nearly all say there is none. Quoting from the Journal of the American Medical Association: "Diet plays no particular role in the treatment of acne in most patients... and even large amounts of certain foods cannot largely affect acne”.
With years of medical training and clinical experience behind these claims, how can we the simple people who suffer from acne challenge these statements and think otherwise? The answer is: doubt. Doubting something with reason and logic can open many doors, which you would’ve never realized. Believe it or not, finding out why you do what you do can change everything. Doubt can cure your acne and doubt can even save your life.
The facts are evident that acne sufferers report that their acne seemed to get worse when they consumed certain foods, and saw dramatic positive changes in their acne condition when those foods were removed, and also after adding some foods with high nutritional value in their diet.
So why do dermatologists so stubbornly insist that diets do not cause acne? The answer: It’s impossible to make a profit by promoting a healthy diet. Or at least it’s not as much money as selling drugs over the counter. There is this enormous pressure on doctors from pharmaceutical companies and pharmacists for prescribing expensive medication and lotions that require dependency. The truth is... Your doctor is like a hostage for these trillion-dollar drug companies. Did you know that pharmaceutical companies, (that have no interest in anything they cannot control financially) sponsor most medical schools?

Proper diet, is not a solution in itself, but will dramatically reduce inflammation and even completely clear your acne (and you maybe you're one of the lucky ones who have acne just because of an allergic reaction to a food). Promoting a clear-skin-diet simply means fewer profits to the large pharmaceutical companies and drug-store industries.
The truth is that conventional medicines will not cure your acne, simply because they are already pre-designed to not fix the genuine cause of acne. They are really designed for treating the external symptoms of the disease because they are addictive dependence become increasingly means making more money at our expense and ignorance.
The Myth that “Diets doesn’t cause Acne”
The dogmatic theory that your diet does not cause acne and acne that is merely an incurable and hormonal process that everyone has to face is based upon two out-dated researches published in 1969 and 1971 aimed at studying the relationship between diet and acne.
These studies were based on the "strategy of treatment for acne symptoms", meaning, because acne is a genetic disease that cannot be prevented, the only way to treat acne would be to tackle its symptoms (bacteria, inflammation, pus, redness, oiliness), by applying creams, taking antibiotics and prescription drugs and so on...
Interestingly, years after these studies were published, and further clinical trials and extensive research which was done regarding the acne-diet link showed that those conclusions was seriously flawed.
Recent studies have clearly shown that a “strong bond” exists between dieting and acne. It seems that a poor diet is now being considered as one of the leading acne-contributing-factors that are affecting the hormonal regulation and the natural processes of toxic elimination, which can greatly aggravate existing acne.
Diets define who you are (including your acne)
For example, like crashing waves shape beach cliffs and how wind shapes canyon walls, slowly and systematically over time, likewise by eating correctly shapes and affects our body, our whole internal system, physically, and mentally, right down to the cellular level.
The idea that an object foreign our body that is inserted through the food we eat has no effect on us, or has no impact on chronic diseases such as acne is absurd. Our diet is the main aspect that affects and shapes who we are.
Diet has cumulative effects on our body and which also constitutes the skin condition and acne, which is the outcome of a chronic internal problem slowly shaped and built by of wrong food choices made daily over the years.
The Kitavan Islanders
While the U.S. has more than 80% of adolescents between 16 and 18 who have acne and more than 17 million Americans suffer from some form of acne, is an interesting fact that the indigenous peoples who live and eat differently do not even have acne.
In 2002, Dr. Cordain and his colleagues published an important study that examined 300 people living on islands off the coast of Papua New Guinea Kitavan, which showed that none of the islanders had a spot on his/her face! Just like the Kitavan Natives, no case of acne was observed when the same experiment was conducted on the South American Indians called the Ache, living in the east of a Paraguayan jungle.
The Kitavan people and South American Indians had no access to the latest products over the counter, or possess any topical creams or conventional acne medications and had no dermatologist to consult. The only big difference between them and Americans and Europeans was their diet.
The “Sweet” Poison
In addition, sugar is a 100% pure chemical with zero nutritional value, and recent studies have clearly demonstrated the connection to the consumption of sugar and the aggravation of acne.
When you consume any form of refined carbohydrates (white sugar, white flour or white rice) here's what happens: Once you’ve feed that “sweet poison” into your body, it will rapidly increase your sugar levels in your blood. The body needs to bring those levels down, so it blasts a lot of insulin, male hormones, and something called IGF-1 which is an insulin-like growth factor. The secretion of these hormones overwhelms your liver and your internal system in general. The excess of male hormones encourages the skin to excrete large amounts of sebum oil: a fatty substance that encourages the acne bacteria to grow, thus worsening your acne.
Got Milk? Got Acne?
If you thought that sugar can aggravate your acne, here's another major factor in the formation of acne...  milk. Milk (and all dairy products included) is the most harmful, mucus forming, allergenic, and most aggravating foods for acne you can find. Surprised? Most definitely. After several years of constant brainwashing by the media, who can blame us for believing that milk is good for strong bones and teeth? The truth is: every sip of milk contains 59 different raging hormones, (which trigger the hyper-production of sebum oil resulting in even more acne), along with saturated animal fat, steroid hormones, white dead cells, and cow pus in abundance!
Did you know that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), has authorized 750 million pus cells in every litre of milk (about two pounds) produced in America? Think about that next time you pop a pimple.
Scientific studies have already started "pointing fingers" towards milk as being one of the worst acne aggravating foods. As pointed out by Dr. Jerome Fisher, “About 80 percent of the cows giving milk are pregnant, and releasing progesterone hormones constantly, which then breaks down into androgens, which have been implicated as a factor in the development of acne”. Dr. Fisher observed that his teenage acne patients improved, "As soon as milk consumption had ceased."
If there is a part of your diet that should be removed to achieve a skin-clear face... then do this. You’ll feel so much lighter as a side-benefit too. If you're worried about calcium intake... then don’t! Milk being acid-forming is a food which takes away the acidity by extracting it from the bones. Milk actually deprives the body of calcium (which is the exact opposite to what the media has been teaching us!). Green leafy vegetables, nuts, and seeds, are not only excellent sources of calcium, but also have the power to help combat the symptoms of acne.
Is a Bad Diet the Only Factor which causes Acne?
Dairy products and sugar are not the only acne-aggravating foods. Both these cannot be summarized for the long list of Western foods that causes acne. There are several other foods you should clearly stay away, if you ever want to remove acne. The good news is that there are tons of other foods such as essential fatty acids, which are not only an excellent skin cure, but can actually help to balance-out the body and contribute to an acne-free-skin.

Good nutrition plays an important role in the complex process of acne formation. When doctors claim there is no link between diet and acne because certain individuals can eat specific foods and acne while others eat the same food and doesn’t get it, doctors don’t realize that there are multiple factors involved in the formation and aggravation of acne and diet is only one of them.
The Conclusion: How to Finally Eliminate your Acne Problem
Acne is a complex state triggered by several underlying factors. The only way to neutralize your acne condition is to address all the factors that contribute to acne holistically. Since the wrong diet is only one of these triggers to acne, in most cases no special diet can cure acne.
However, there is close relationship between diet and acne formation. Dietary factors can trigger and exacerbate acne. Avoiding the wrong foods such as milk, sugar and hydrogenated oils, and eating cleansing and hormonal-balancing foods such as green leafy vegetables and essential fatty acids can help heal the skin from the inside out and drastically reduce the symptoms of acne.
There are also several Food Principles you need to understand and follow if you ever want to Cure Your Acne For Good.
Take responsibility for your body and adhering to these dietary principles to take the necessary measures to fight against all acne-contributing factors ... holistically. You’ll not only cure your acne permanently and give yourself a perfect skin which you deserve, but according to these principles your general health will greatly improve too, as well as a mental well-being, look and feel.
